Caring with Style
CPAA's Annual Fundraising event ‘Caring with Style’ is sponsored by Fevicol, an iconic brand from Pidilite Industries Ltd. The concept of ‘Caring With Style’ is ‘glamour with a purpose’. This event is a brain-child of of ace fashion designer Shaina NC and features her exquisite creations, adorned by icons from the film fraternity, achievers and prominent figures from different walks of life, on the ramp. Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra too has lent his support to the cause and showcases his special on this occasion.
This year's theme #Judenge Ladenge Jeetenge symbolises unification, the spirit to fight and grit to win. Funds raised from the show will be donated to CPAA towards the treatment of children suffering from blood cancer. The ‘Caring with Style’ fashion show is part of Pidilite’s commitment to support children suffering from blood cancer.
The 11th edition of 'Caring with Style' Fashion show was held on 20 March 2016 at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai. Shaina NC and Manish Malhotra showcased their collections which were worn by icons from the film fraternity, achievers and prominent figures from different walks of life on the ramp. Acclaimed Bollywood actress and survivor Manisha Koirala was the show-stopper for Shaina's collection along with 3 other brave survivors Rashmi, Purnima and Gurpreet. Renowned celebrities Shabana Azmi, Huma Qureshi, Athiya Shetty were the show-stoppers for Manish Malhotra's collection. Amongst others who walked the ramp for the fashion designers and extended their support for the noble cause were Tara Sharma, Varsha Usgaonkar, Sonali Kulkarni, Dino Morea, Boman Irani, Adnan Sami, Atul Kasbekar, Sachin Khedekar, Madhoo, Mrunal Kulkarni and Marc Robinson. Singers Kanika Kapoor, Armaan Malik and Sophie Choudhary performed to popular numbers. Veteran singer and music director Bappi Lahiri walked the ramp for Shaina and later set the stage on fire with his foot-tapping performance. The event was hosted by Cyrus Broacha
