Patients Gayatri R. | Dr. Kiran Kalel | Sagar | Revathy M.
18 year old Revathy was diagnosed with Blood Cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and underwent preliminary treatment at Apollo Hospital, Chennai under Dr. Revathi Raj. She unfortunately had a relapse and needed a Bone Marrow Transplant. The total cost of the treatment was 20 lakhs. As her family was unable to finance the treatment, CPAA raised funds which helped her undergo BMT on 11th Aug. On 16th September, Revathy wrote us this letter. There is still a long road
ahead. We request you to donate 32 year old Dr. Kiran Kalel, ENT surgeon at Sion Hospital, was diagnosed with Ependymoma Grade II of the spinal cord in July 2007. He has been operated upon twice since then at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai by Dr. Basant Misra. Considering the sensitive site of the tumour, he has now been advised CyberKnife surgery which cannot be done in India. The nearest and cheapest alternative is Malaysia, where the cost is likely to be Rs. 13-15 lakh, a sum which is beyond the reach of the family. Please help this dedicated doctor to get the treatment he needs by donating generously.
